C++ Developer, Hedge fund, UNIX, Database, £ 110 - 120k Base. Our client is looking for C++ developers to develop its current system. This a Brownfield role with Greenfield elements. Our client seeks strong C++ developers with exchange connectivity and extensive database experience; the respective developers will be working on a dynamic project which requires development of its current system and expansion of that system into new areas. This is a small team therefore you will be highly valued. Our client is currently looking to arrange meetings with developers next week with a view to hiring them after budget approval in the next 3 weeks. Our client is keen to preserve the culture of its business and as such requires C++ developers who are willing integrate well into the collegiate culture. Our client prides itself on its differentiation from the market therefore knowledge of the hedge fund sector and how our client distinguishes itself from its competition is an essential requisite for success in this C++ development role. Prospective candidates will be fully briefed before interviews.
Candidates will require:
*C++ experience;
*UNIX (linux [other flavours will also be accepted and examined on a case-by-case basis]);
*Strong Database experience (Preferably Oracle 11g but others will also be accepted);
*Connectivity experience;
*Experience working on a trading system;
*Strong academic background
*Ability to achieve above 4 on Brainbench testing;
*Preferably finance experience; and
*Experience with Communications protocols, e.g. TCP/IP
The project has a long term objective and as such our client is not looking for C++ contractors to fill this role. No applications will be excluded if the skill-set requirements are matched but sound justification must be met if C++ applicants are looking to leave the contract market. This project [ideally] requires developers with firm commercial C++ experience in the finance industry.
The successful C ++ candidate can expect to earn a very competitive salary of 110 - 120k per annum. The salary is determined by experience and business case for the successful C++ applicant.
