C++ Software Developer, Money Broker, £95k. C++ Developer is sought for a Money Broking firm who specialize in hedging and interest rate swaps with foreign currency. Our client desires to maximise its efficiency and increase the speed of its services using low latency technology. The successful C++ applicant will be required for coding and analysis of high frequency data. A numerate/quantitative academic background is a strong preference for this role, however it is not essential as a key requisite is raw intelligence and the exceptional ability to code. Applicants with a finance background will be favoured but it is not an essential requirement as candidates who demonstrate a strong commercial awareness of finance will be just as competent. The applicant must have exceptional C++ programming experience including STOL and Multithreading coding. It must be noted that the flavor of UNIX is Linux.
Candidates will require:
*C++ experience;
*UNIX/LINUX;
*STL;
*Multithreading coding;
*Strong commercial awareness;
*Experience working in the finance sector;
*Be able to complete a BrainBench test score above 4; and
*FX , FOREX or Money Markets experience preferable
You will have an integral role in the development of back end and middle ware software. The successful applicant will be coding, analysing and developing a system which helps execute the swaps between currencies to help preserve the position of financial corporates against interest rate rises. It cannot be emphasised enough that the system is a vital function of our client and as such the successful applicants will be a valued member of the business. This project will require a strong awareness of the commercial world and, as such, applicants should be able to contextualise their coding against the back drop of a contemporary commercial market.
The successful developer can expect to earn a very competitive salary of 95k per annum and company bonus. The salary being based on structured management discretion. Other benefits include:
